  City Itinerary
1 Ahmedabad Bajana Meet you in a specific place (airport, hotel, your home, etc.) by a private car. In the morning, tour the old city of Ahmedabad (Jamma Masjid (Friday Mosque), and relief of Sidi Saiyad Mosque), Then, view Dada Hari ni Vav (step well) in the suburbs of Ahmedabad. Lunch at the Heritage Hotel, the House of MG to savor the Thale of Grajat cuisine. After lunch, head to Bajana in the Little Rann of Kutch by a private car (about 3 hours).

Ahmedabad
In the morning, head to Patan by a private car (about 2 hours). Visit the woven artisans in Patan is known the Double Ikat “Patola.” Then, tour the step well Rani ki Vav and Modhera Sun Temple, and go back to Ahmedabad. If time is allowed, guide you in Ahmedabad again. After that, go to the airport of Ahmedabad.

Salient Information

Drinking
The state of Gujarat is the state of prohibiting drinking. Therefore, people are not allowed to drink in the public places such as restaurants and if you want to drink, you may do within your hotel room. Buying a bottle of alcoholic is limited at a shop having the liquor permission during shop open hours. If you want to buy alcoholic drinks at the locale, please tell us before your departure, then we inform the guide on it beforehand. Also, please prepare the copies of passport, India visa, and India immigration stamp.
Safari drive in the wetland of Little Ratt of Kutch
While doing safari drive, the car is open typed. It is convenient having a hat or a cap (Be careful not to your hat or cap is blown off.), a pair of sunglasses or glasses, and a dust protection.

Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad is the largest city of Gujarat state with rapid growth and exceeding population predicted to cross 6 million soon. It is the only dry state in the country. It was built in 1411 by Ahmed Shah I, the then sultan of Gujarat, after whom this city was named. Due to its extremely refined policies and operations, it has been attracting numerous foreign companies. Ahmedabad is the birth city of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation and is also a hub of traditional Islamic architecture like stepwells with old remains.
  • Dada Hari Ni Vav
    Many "stepwells" are found in Gujarat or Rajasthan, where people constantly face shortage of water. This is a very artistic stepwell with sophisticated sculptures on its wall and is extremely cold from the inside.

  • Teen Darwaza - Three consecutive gates

    It is an array of three consecutive gates standing on the east side of Bhadra Fort and called as Teen Darwaza. It was built for the kings of those times to watch if people are walking in line to Jama Masjid.

  • Sidi Saiyad Mosque
    This mosque is popular for its beautiful stone openwork and was built in 1573 by Sidi Saiyad, who was a slave to Ahmed Shah.

  • Jama Masjid (Friday mosque)
    It is the largest mosque in Ahmedabad built by Ahmed Shah in 1423. There are 15 domes of different heights supported by as many as 260 pillars. To signify the importance of material for Hindu or Jain temple, there were sculptures of the lotus flower or the Vajra carved on the pillars of this mosque.

  • Sanskar Kendra

    Designed by Le Corbusier and built in 1985. It is one of the 3 museums designed by him, the others being Chandigarh Museum and National Museum of Western Art in Ueno, Japan. It displays the history and culture of Ahmedabad including kites that are extremely popular there.

     

  • Mill Owners' Association Building
    It was built in 1954 and designed by the Swiss architect Le Corbusier and is considered to be one of "the three great masters of modern architecture", This building is designed to work without electricity maintaining complete harmony between light, wind and nature.


Little Rann of Kutch

The Little Rann Kutch is the huge flatland of which earth is cracked and salty. Here is the Little Rann of Kutch Wildlife Sanctuary where the last Asiatic wild asses inhibit in India. They habit on the plain covered with grasses and on the hill called bed which turn to be an island in the rainy season in the Little Rann of Kutch. The asses are very timid and run away keeping a certain distance if a man approaches them. In addition, the nesting grounds of Flamingos exist and the migratory birds are observed. Around here, you view the sceneries of villages of Rabari, Ahil and Bharwad are likely the Gujarat and the sceneries of grazing.
